How to turn a flashlight into a lantern or a camping lamp

While camping, I needed to turn my flashlight into a lantern. Here’s how I did it.

Unboxing and replacing the leather watch band on the Detroit built Shinola Runwell 47mm watch

I wanted to replace the more modern, padded leather watch band, with the simpler and wider leather strap. This band doesn’t have the side stitching, is 24mm throughout, and has a more vintage look. The black band with the white stitching makes it a perfect match for the white face Shinola Runwell.

Only 1000 pieces of this 47mm limited edition were made by Shinola in Detroit.

Unlike any timepiece in the world, The Runwell is powered by the quartz Argonite 1069 movement, which is hand-assembled in Detroit from nearly four-dozen Swiss made parts. Premium components include domed sapphire crystal and an illuminated dial precisely secured in a 47mm stainless steel case. Design details include the Shinola lightning bolt—symbolizing a commitment to quality—and an individually-numbered signature iconic case back plate that reads “Built in Detroit.” The final touch is a premium, vegetable-tanned Horween leather watchstrap. Offered in a limited edition of 1000.
